  • Overview

    This position manages the Clinical Engineering Technical Training program in support of TRIMEDX field operations. As we look to make the training program more robust, this role will be dedicated to improving and growing the program by establishing new programs, processes, and tools to evaluate technical training requests and providers to drive sound financial investments in training. This role will communicate training schedules, evaluate training providers, suggest alternative training options, and provide training guidance to field operations to support optimum service strategies and cost reductions while managing the review and approval of all technical training requests.  In addition, this position will proactively identify training needs and partner with training providers to develop new course offerings and delivery methods as required. Plan and lead development of internal training programs, materials, and resources.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure systems, process, and tools are in place to support planning, executing, and documenting a comprehensive technical training program contemplating foundations skills, advanced make/model training, external training, and on-the-job training (OJT)
    • Regularly communicate with Site Managers and Directors to understand their training needs in all modalities
    • Oversee, improve, and use a comprehensive Technical Training catalog to provide associates with data on technical training availability, preferred partners, and training quality
    • Partner with Legal to create and manage a library of pre-negotiated training non-disclosure agreements
    • Conduct routine business reviews and opportunity development meetings with key training suppliers
    • Manage the review and approval of all technical training requests. Ensure negotiated entitlements are leveraged, the most appropriate training providers are used, and that NDAs are executed as necessary
    • Collaborate with cross-functional business leaders on technical training matters related to:
      • Job descriptions
      • Career advancement
      • Succession planning
      • Staffing models
      • Organizational growth
      • Competency models
    • Plan and execute technical training strategies to improve in-house skill sets, reduce service contracts, and minimize the use of demand services while maintaining alignment with optimum service strategies
    • Lead needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and routine evaluation of training delivery methods aligned with overall business objectives
    • Work with training providers to develop new courses and programs specific to TRIMEDX training needs
    • Develop processes and procedures for creating and distributing internally produced training content via a variety of delivery methods and media (webinars, video, audio, documents, collaborative platforms, courses, etc.)
    • Develop internal training programs that provide introductory and foundational skills to support entry level high volume work
    • Establish and lead programs to enable fiscally sound investment decisions and to measure/monitor effectiveness of technical training
    • Prepares reports and information for TRIMEDX leadership to accurately establish and communicate the effectiveness of technical training investments

    Qualifications

    • Associates degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience
    • Experience developing and managing training programs (of a technical nature)
    • Experience with program management for training
    • Some experience with content development/instructional design preferred
    • Knowledge of healthcare industry, clinical engineering, medical technology, and/or healthcare support services strongly preferred
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office; advanced skills with Excel and Access preferred
    • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
    • Creative thinker with the ability to prioritize work and manage time amidst multiple tasks
    • Ability to effectively collaborate with or lead cross-functional teams
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an acute attention to detail
    • Travel – 15% (overnight)
