  • Overview

    TriMedx is currently the largest ServiceNow commercial user in the US.  The business and IT have partnered to develop solutions based in ServiceNow across the organization. TriMedx is currently developing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) being built on the ServiceNow platform.  The ServiceNow Developer will have responsibility for supporting the CMMS as well as developing new solutions on the platform. The company is consuming a lot of the modules of ServiceNow, but the maturity level of the environment is still relatively young.  This position will play a role in the development of processes to mature the environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in the development of business requirements ensuring a thorough understanding of business needs and processes
    • Conceptualize, design, code, and test ServiceNow solutions that deliver new system capabilities, system enhancements or defects
    • Design and develop Enterprise Service Management solutions using ServiceNow
    • Develop using the Service Portal for customer facing solutions
    • Participate in Agile development methodologies
    • Support & maintain applications by proactively resolving issues and enhance application stability
    • Assist with product roadmap & business capabilities that align with the application
    • Continuously monitor application performance and vendor recommended patches & upgrades
    • Collaborate with fellow team members to improve the quality and scalability of supported systems and provide recommendations
    • Partner with the business on exploring new opportunities to add value through the use of technology

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with 3+ years of experience as an application engineer; 5+ years of experience without a degree
    • Minimum 1+ years of ServiceNow development, configuration and administration experience in an enterprise environment
    • Integration (interfacing) of enterprise software systems with ServiceNow
    • Strong working knowledge of core ServiceNow components such as Workflows, Business Rules, Form Design, and GlideSystem
    • Experience working in and managing multiple update sets and coordinating their promotion throughout multiple instances
    • Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features
    • Must have experience in multiple ServiceNow implementations and have developed custom applications
    • Participation in the full software development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and promotion into Production
    • Knowledge of system design and development used within Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, JAXWS)
    • Strong knowledge of Web 2.0 Technologies (Java Script, XML, HTML, AJAX, Jelly, CSS, etc.)
