  • Overview

    A healthcare clinical engineering company is looking for a “hands-on” Lean Six Sigma leader to spearhead continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior leadership to identify improvement opportunities and create process improvement plans. He/she will train, mentor, and coach associates on Lean Six Sigma activities and processes. The Lean Six Sigma Leader will ensure that the company has all the necessary tools, training, and metrics to drive adoption, improvement and growth.

    Responsibilities

    • Effective continuous improvement process to address critical business objectives
    • Coaching management and providing skills training to company associates on Lean Six Sigma concepts and Operational Excellence tools and principles to create a sustainable culture and ensure successful initiative deployment; promoting lean thinking, sharing best practices, and developing Lean Six Sigma process-owners
    • Leading Continuous Improvement events (Kaizen) and Six Sigma projects to enable dramatic improvement in quality, safety, delivery, and cost
    • Identifying and tracking performance measures/KPIs and ongoing assessment mechanisms, to monitor effectiveness of Lean Six Sigma implementation and process improvements. Creating effective communication system/dashboards to capture and report Lean Six Sigma accomplishments
    • Providing feedback to associates on performance and meeting Lean Six Sigma objectives; recognizing positive deliverables and high contributors
    • Additional duties and responsibilities as required and/or assigned

    Qualifications

    • BS Degree in Engineering, Finance
    • Masters Degree (e.g. MBA or Engineering) a plus
    • Minimum 5 years demonstrated Lean Six Sigma expertise and implementation experience a must
    • Strong skills in cross-functional team work and collaborative decision making
    • Demonstrated proficiency in data collection, analysis, and decision-making. 
    • Experience influential leadership and motivating groups
    • Experience in service delivery or healthcare a plus
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills
    • A Change Agent that can lead continuous process improvements and help organizations and teams with their ability to create and make change
    • Comfortable with working closely with executives, managers and associates at all types/sizes of the organization
    • Ability to lead and influence others
    • Logical, creative, and strategic thinker
    • Self-directed, self-motivated
