Overview

The Solution Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and executing against strategic solution marketing plans intended to help the organization to achieve all growth and market share objectives. This position is crucial to the successful commercialization planning and launch of new solutions to ensure strong sales preparedness and market adoption. With a strong customer-focus, this role will support commercial functions in delivering against their targets by leveraging market expertise to position solutions more effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develops an annual marketing plan that promotes and drives the strategic and financial value of TRIMEDX’s Clinical Asset Management Solutions
  • Executes programs related to solution launch and commercialization and assists with post-launch product lifecycle management
  • Maintains appropriate communication and collaboration with field and corporate office cross-functional leadership to ensure input and alignment on any marketing strategy and tactics (e.g. marketing tools, competitive positioning, promotional programs, etc.).
  • Develops sales tools to communicate the value proposition and economic benefits of our solutions to the customer. Drives awareness, acceptance, and demand for our Clinical Asset Management and Clinical Engineering Solutions, as supported by economic evidence.
  • Conducts market research – in collaboration with the Market Strategist – to supplement existing knowledge and to validate strategic thinking on trends in the healthcare industry and associated markets in which our solutions our sold.
  • Stays current on all aspects of market and competitive intelligence to update the strategy and execution plan, while also collaborating with the Solutions Management team to deliver timely competitive responses.
  • Performs market, sales, and financial analyses and forecasts, and assesses effectiveness of various marketing programs along with solution value propositions.
  • Plans and tactically implements elements of the company’s tradeshow and thought-leadership activities.
  • Develops talk tracks and drives a messaging strategy in support of initiatives aimed at clearly communicating a message to customers around Solutions.
  • Collaborates with Corporate Marketing to design and implement a marketing approval process intended to give cross-functional visibility to, and approval of, customer facing material.
  • Responsible for identifying and executing on opportunities to develop whitepapers and/or client case studies to highlight the organization’s success at delivering against client needs.
  • Participates in market sizing, segmentation and targeting exercises around new Solutions in anticipation of, and preparation for, new Solution commercialization.
  • Participates in various war gaming / scenario planning projects across markets to define strategic maneuvers and opportunities to win against our competitors.
  • Creates, socializes and executes against promotion-based contingency plans aimed at bolstering revenue opportunities at quarter and/or fiscal year end.
  • Collaborates with Sales and business unit leadership to develop market forecasts for each market segment.
  • Maintains an understanding of customers’ clinical and economic needs, as well as values and benefits sought.
  • Develops programs to gather evidence of customer success for proof of concepts, beta sites and early adopters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or clinical related field. Post graduate degree preferred.
  • This role consists of travel of up to 20% or approximately 4 business days per month.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Strategy, and/or Product Management.
  • Experience in medical devices and/or the broader healthcare industry. Experience within Clinical Engineering or the Management of Clinical Assets is preferred.
  • Ability to deduce market needs from key trends within industry or markets.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • Previous experience in working with senior executives strongly preferred.
  • Capability to identify, develop and serve all clients to the highest level of satisfaction.
  • Experience in directly engaging with customers in matters ranging from casual to complex.
  • Self-starter that is comfortable taking initiative.
  • Proven track record for leading with a collaborative approach.
  • Familiarity and comfort functioning in a matrixed organizational environment and the ability to work successfully cross-functionally.
  • Ability to deal well in an ambiguous environment while remaining productive and execution oriented.
  • Strategic agility, structured thinking, intellectual curiosity and ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights.
  • Ability to think strategically and participate actively in decision analysis, problem formulation, data collection, model development, and presentations to management.
  • Experience in a high performing consulting, strategic planning, or finance environment, demanding a sophisticated approach to understanding strategic needs, financial/market models, competitive trends and business impact.
  • Strong project management skills including stakeholder management, effective communication, and driving for results
  • Experience in customer engagement, with a strong focus on the ability to conduct VOC.
