Overview

The Director, IT Security Delivery Support leverages their technical, industry, and business knowledge to collaborate with operational and business leadership in order to centrally support and build the delivery of standardized medical device security support, HIPAA compliance support, and medical device integration support services to clients through the TRIMEDX Clinical Engineering program; balancing quality, client and customer service and cost in their work and activities performed. Further, this role will be looked at as the business’ subject matter expert with respect to IT security related efforts and endeavors; helping to create and drive the overall strategy for TRIMEDX in the space. Travel to client, operating and/or other business-related locations will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides for and has full oversight of the delivery of national support of TRIMEDX’ Clinical Engineering-IT (CE-IT) services through leadership, professional expertise, guidance and assistance; including Medical Device Security, HIPAA Compliance and Integration support.
  • Participate in the creation, implementation, and enforcement of related operational services, security, and business processes and policies for the TRIMEDX CE-IT services.
  • Manage and assist CE-IT Support Specialists and team members with day-to-day delivery of services and support through data collection, knowledge creation, technical research and support, vendor engagement, and systems management.
  • Provide oversight of enhancements and tuning of CE-IT program monitoring tools and reporting to collect, integrate and correlate events and trends, establish operational event threshold levels, and ensure continuous functionality, availability and enhancement of CE-IT tools and resources. Manage the integration of these tools to standardize and enhance reporting.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support and leadership for the review and development of TRIMEDX’ CE-IT capabilities and operational execution strategy.
  • Works intimately with CE Solutions Development to identify, design and create new features, capabilities and enhancement to the CE-IT Solution.
  • Creates and implements policies, processes, procedures and/or reporting to ensure initial and ongoing integrity and accuracy of all data collected and maintained.
  • Charged with construction, architecture, curation and overall management of the CE-IT Knowledge Center through the activities and skills of the CE-IT Strategic-Modality team.
  • Prepares and delivers status reports on program matters and ongoing events according to response procedures.
  • Continuously monitors clinical engineering and information technology professions for improvements to customers’ risk reduction strategies.
  • Oversees participation of staff actions related to customers’ mitigation strategies for known vulnerabilities.
  • Interface with executives, operational leaders and team members throughout the organization to address customer and operation’s needs.
  • Lead, develop, mentor, and train that organization and other associates in regard to Medical Device Security, HIPAA Compliance and Device Integration.
  • Engages in and/or leads large scale responses to customer incidents and events related to CE-IT.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree(s) in Computer Science, Information Systems Information Security, or related field required
  • Networking and/or other relevant IT/security certifications strongly preferred
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in IT with at least 3 years of experience in IT security
  • At least five years of experience in leadership roles managing diverse and dynamic teams is preferred
  • At least five years of experience in the delivery of technical service and/or support is preferred
  • Experience with information systems, network and security management is required
  • Experience with IoT products, risks and/or security strongly preferred
  • Experience with computer operating systems and patch management is required
  • Experience with IT security designs, frameworks and/or capabilities
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, datacenters, integrations and enterprise IT security
  • Understanding of regulatory, industry standards, and compliance concepts and frameworks with respect to IT and/or medical devices specifically
  • Expertise in the use of Excel and/or other data analysis tools is required
  • Working knowledge of HL7, DICOM, TCIP and other communications protocols and standards is desired
  • Experience with HIPAA Security Rules and the technical implications pertaining to medical equipment desired
  • Experience and/or training in project and program management required
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Experience with continuous improvement
