Overview

The Director, IT Security Solutions Management is responsible for the overall strategy, development and iteration of new and existing medical device IT and security capabilities for the TRIMEDX Clinical Engineering program (CE-IT).  Activities include, but are not limited to, client and operational requirements gathering, prototyping, solution roadmap development, operational framework development, project/resource planning, backlog management, budget and financial projections for solution life cycles, supporting the delivery of fully realized capabilities, and the ongoing iterative development the total CE-IT solution.  This leadership role will play a key part in efforts to standardize the delivery of TRIMEDX core Clinical Engineering operations through ITIL best practices applied through the CE-IT solution delivery model. Areas of key focus will include Medical Device Security/ Cybersecurity, HIPAA Compliance Support, Medical Device Integration, and other customer IT support capabilities related to medical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and develop new solutions for TRIMEDX’s Clinical Engineering portfoliofocusing on key areas of Medical Device Security/Cybersecurity, HIPAA Compliance Support, Medical Device Integration, and other customer IT support capabilities related to medical equipment (CE-IT Solutions)
  • Determine product/solution roadmaps, action plans, and manage a backlog of capabilities and features
  • For new product/solution releases, develop value propositions and communications to the business for incorporation into existing and new customer sales
  • Identify and develop practices and recommended policies and procedures to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure and liability in all areas of information, financial, physical, personal, and reputational risk related to clinical engineering programs
  • Ensure compliance with the changing laws and applicable regulations; translate that knowledge in to new solution requirements and capabilities along with actionable development plans
  • Translate complex technology and solutions concepts into clear, digestible business appropriate language; creates images, graphics or charts that provide exceptional clarity for or add impact to otherwise complex material and packages presentations concisely leadership
  • Research, generate, and develop state-of-the-art technology solutions, capabilities, features, and innovative security management techniques to safeguard the customer’s assets and information; Establish appropriate standards and associated risk controls for operational execution
  • Build framework to address:
    • Emerging Technologies and Market Trends
    • Incident and crisis management
    • Information and privacy protection
    • Risk and compliance management
    • Reporting and assessments
    • Security architecture and recommendations
    • Threat, intelligence and vulnerability management
  • Develop relationships with applicable governmental functions and agencies, as well as private sector counterparts, in order to maintain TRIMEDX’s industry leading position in the CE-IT space
  • Develop detailed strategies plans for future program offerings based on the R&D pipeline
  • Create and foster an environment of innovation; remove roadblocks and enable strategic risk taking; advocate and drive change management and adoption of behaviors and practices
  • Partner with Field leadership to ensure solutions are optimized and delivered to customer programs; identify new solution needs and requirements in the process
  • Work with teams to continuously drive improvements and implement corrective actions when necessary
  • Brief the executive team on statuses and risks, including taking the role of champion for the overall strategy and any necessary financials/budgets
  • Attend operational QBRs and other meetings to engage with field leadership and collect needs
  • Attend customer leadership meetings and new customer engagements in order to understand needs and market drivers
  • Attend industry conferences, seminars and other events related to the CE-IT space

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of product development experience required with 5+ years in cybersecurity, healthcare, clinical engineering and/or OEM experience preferred
  • Experience in IT, computer science, medical device security, and/or cybersecurity is required
  • Ability to think big picture with a good business acumen
  • Ability to help build strategy and multi-year product roadmap
  • Understanding of the Agile development and software design processes
  • Demonstrated results in the development of service/support programs directly tied to financial metrics
  • A track record of leading and growing service business offerings
  • Experience with business and project investment planning; understanding of developing and managing pricing, revenue and expense budgets required
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Previous experience in working with senior executives and coordinating and managing the work of others
