Overview

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for benefit administration, leave of absence administration, HR compliance and Talent Services onboarding/implementation oversight.  This position will facilitate multiple benefit vendor relationships, and assist the Director of Benefits and HR Technology with the utilization, implementation and strategic alignment of all benefit programs to the TRIMEDX benefit package philosophy.  The Human Resources Manager will oversee and manage the Benefit Specialists, LOA Specialist, the HR Compliance Specialist and the HR Coordinator roles to assure appropriate processes are in place to assist associates and work efficiencies are achieved.   The Human Resources Manager also ensures compliance and works to continuously improve HR policies and processes.   This position collaborates with leaders to address and resolve benefit or compliance issues.  The Human Resources Manager acts as a liaison between Talent Services, Legal and Regulatory/Compliance to ensure policy alignment is appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the annual open enrollment process from pre-planning stage to completion
  • Facilitate strong relationships with benefit provider vendors in conjunction with Director
  • Work with the Director of Benefits and HR Technology to recommend benefit packages, plan design changes and implementations, preparing pre-read information and associate open enrollment presentations
  • Administer the 401(k) program, working with plan provider and plan administrator vendors
  • Develop benefit administration processes, making recommendations to improve efficiencies where applicable
  • Participate in market studies to benchmark benefit programs to ensure benefit package is competitive with market
  • Lead benefit provider transitions when needed, overseeing system updates and ongoing changes are managed from scope to implementation
  • Familiarity with payroll and HRIS system in order to develop processes and assist with associate and audit inquiries
  • Oversee FMLA/PLOA/Military Leave/Workers Compensation leave management
  • Develop and revise HR leave policies as needed to comply with federal and state laws with the LOA Specialist
  • Act as a liaison between LOA Specialist and Legal to ensure policy alignment as appropriate
  • Assures compliance to employment, benefit and wage and hour laws in multistate environment regarding leave of absence
  • Work with Regulatory/Compliance team to develop program to track associate compliance with hospital specific site requirements
  • Interpret, guide and respond to policy inquiries and offer implementation advice in regard to HR policies
  • Develop and revise HR policies as appropriate
  • Act as a liaison between HR and Legal (internal and external counsel) to ensure policy alignment as appropriate
  • Assures compliance to employment, benefit and wage and hour laws in multistate environment
  • Oversee new hire orientation/onboarding process as it relates to Talent Services area
  • Oversee new site implementations onboarding process to ensure new associates have the appropriate benefit information and required compliance documentation, preparing benefit analyses as needed
  • Develop transition process for new site implementation as needed, recommending transition plans as appropriate (i.e. bonus retention plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field required; PHR and/or SPHR preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in managing benefit administration, including plan design changes, premium structures, 401(k) administration, new hire orientation/onboarding and leave of absence administration
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems
  • Experience working with HR compliance in an organization in a multi-state environment
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in an HR environment, with at least 3 years of vendor management experience required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects
