Overview

This position is Business Informatics based and reports to the Financial Planning and Analysis Department.   This position is responsible for developing and managing corporate reports as needed.  Reports will include data for all facets of the organization including financial, operational, and general information about the company and its customers.   This position will also manage and maintain the budgeting and forecasting system for the company.  The successful candidate will have extensive working knowledge of data management utilizing Excel, SQL, and other Data Warehouse methodologies as well as how to model and display data within commercial dashboard products (Qlikview).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and aid in the optimization of the business through analytics, financial modeling and operational metrics
  • Develop data needs from internal systems and coordinate with Lean IT process
  • Develop, pilot, test and establish production reporting dashboards from ad hoc and company data marts
  • Manage budgeting and forecast system and data process
  • Advancing company capabilities in data analysis and reporting
  • Analyze and interpret department results data such as revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures and create dashboard reports for various leaders that will enable improved operational and financial performance
  • Ensure complete operation and reporting of budget process including transfer of budget/forecast data between systems
  • Process improvements projects resulting in efficiency gains for staff and departments
  • Create reports and financial projections for FPA and internal customers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years’ experience in an informatics or data management role; MBA is desirable
  • Previous experience with Finance, Accounting, and/or Operational metrics preferred
  • Ablility to understand and work quickly with large quantities of data in SQL or other data repositories
  • Adaptability to work with various reporting platforms such as Qlik, Domo or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access and SQL) required; knowledge of BI360 preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting and reporting systems preferred (Great Plains, Management Reporter) 
  • Ability to set priorities and manage time while working on multiple projects
  • Ability to work effectively with other team members
  • Interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships
