A healthcare clinical engineering company is looking for a “hands-on” Operational Excellence Process Leader to drive problem solving and identify improvements in efficiency, service and quality through optimization of processes, technology solutions that result in meeting or exceeding operational goals.  The Operational Excellence Process Leader to spearhead continuous improvement initiatives focused on clinical engineering service delivery and will collaborate with leadership to identify improvement opportunities and create process improvement plans. He/she will train, mentor, and coach associates in continuous improvement processes. The Operational Excellence Process Leader will ensure the company has all the necessary tools, training, and metrics to drive adoption, improvement and growth.


  • Collaborating with functional and field teams to drive company-wide continuous improvement initiatives and developing effective improvements to address business priorities
  • Leading or supporting continuous improvement projects to enable dramatic improvement in quality, safety, delivery, and productivity
  • Identifying and tracking performance measures/KPIs and ongoing assessment mechanisms, to monitor effectiveness of process improvements. Creating effective communication system/dashboards to capture and report accomplishments
  • Coaching teams and providing skills training to associates on continuous improvement concepts and Operational Excellence tools and principles to create a sustainable culture and ensure successful initiative deployment; promoting CI thinking, sharing standard practices, and developing continuous improvement process-owners
  • Providing feedback to associates on performance and meeting continuous improvement objectives; recognizing positive deliverables and high contributors
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required and/or assigned


Education and Work Experience

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Finance or gained equivalent work experience
  • Master’s degree (e.g. MBA or Engineering) a plus
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated continuous improvement expertise a must
  • Minimum 2 years experience in clinical engineering service delivery or healthcare
  • Worked closely with technicians and associates in all parts of the service organization
  • Experience influential leader and motivating groups


  • Strong skills in cross-functional team work and collaborative decision making
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data collection, analysis, and decision-making
  • Ability to lead and influence others
  • Logical, creative, and strategic thinker
  • Self-directed, self-motivated and very curious
