The Talent and Organizational Development Consultant works closely with the HR Business Partner team and functional stakeholders to provide expertise in the annual HR programs such as goal setting, performance management, talent and succession planning as well as change management, coaching, and performance consulting.  This role is responsible for analysis of the effectiveness performance management programs, recommending solutions for improvement and creating a communication cadence for performance initiatives.  This position collaborates with the HR Business Partner team to address individual, team and organizational development needs.  Through oversight and improvement of strategic performance programs, the Talent and Organizational Development Consultant acts as a resource for workforce development, succession planning and proactive performance management.


Talent Management Program (including Goal Setting, Performance Management and Succession) 60%

  • Implement talent management processes and documentation of methodology and updates for continuous improvement
  • Partner with the HRBP team to develop education and tools to coach business leaders on how to successfully have on-going development-focused performance conversations with associates
  • Provide performance structure and programs for associate and leader succession plans
  • Assist with implementing business-specific competency development resources as needed
  • Lead Change Management initiatives and processes

Program Evaluation and Analytics – 15%

  • Evaluate performance programs regularly to determine gaps, consistency, relevance and ability to impact business needs
  • Analyze data to discern common areas to be addressed or improved upon organization-wide
  • Improve and communicate metrics that ensure and allow the business to support and partner in performance initiatives

Individual, Team and Area Specific Development – 25%

  • Facilitation of development programs to associates and leaders
  • Ensure the retention of talent with strategies focused on assimilation and development of associates and teams


Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, communications, organizational development/leadership, organizational psychology, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience developing, delivering and program management for talent management programs such as goal setting, performance management and succession planning in a corporate environment. 
  • Experience in project management for multiple projects is a must 
  • Behavioral Assessment (e.g. DISC) and/or Training Certifications (e.g. DDI, Franklin Covey) is preferred
  • Instructional design capabilities utilizing adobe connect, articulate storyline, video production and design to support LMS resources is beneficial


  • Proven ability to be a business partner and driver of change
